À±Á¾¸¸(ëÅñ¤Ø¹)/Chong Mann Yonn
Abstract
1) The distribution of clonorchiasis and paragonimiasis was surveyed, by intradermal
skin test on 2,658 persons among tile population of 24 localities of Chonnam Province.
2) For clonorchiasis, the highest positive rate was 50.0% of Whasoon goon and the
lowest was 5.1% of Youngkwang goon, the average was 20.4% of total. For
paragouilniasis, the highest was 61.2% of Hainam goon the lowest was 0.8% of
Kwangyang goon, the average was 17.6%
3) The infections of Clonorchis were widely spread whereas those of Paragonimus
were rather localized in east-southern part of the province and a close relationship
between the geographical situation and incidence of it¢¥s infections has been recognized.
4) The male showed a higher rate of positive skin test than the female and was more
remarkable with clonorchiasis.
5) Higher incidence of both infections were generally observed in the adult group, but
in Paragonimiasis the positive skin tests were noticed from rather very young age.
